As a family owned and operated business, we take pride in our history. When we arrived in AZ in 1981, Tony was hired at a local custom cabinet shop. Sweeping floors, landscaping, and helping out wherever he was needed kept Tony employed, but also enabled him to learn something he found enjoyable and creative!

Tony listened and watched the older craftsmen who shared their knowledge with an eager student. Within 9 years,Tony became the company service representative, custom man, and even night shift foreman. All the while dreaming of the possibility of one day owning his own shop.

Using a table saw that Tony's parents purchased, we began working out of our carport with our girls, Carly & Liz, assisting in clean-up. After working too many long days and nights, Tony had an unfortunate accident where he injured his hand. Using the time off from work during his recovery, Tony tested and received his contractor's license.

In 1990, Gutowski Cabinet Works became incorporated, licensed, and bonded. We started out with small cabinet revisions, always depending on referrals from satisfied customers, but quickly outgrew our garage. Within 9 years, we were able to follow the next step in our dream!

In 2000 we began construction of a 13,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant and accompanying 2,000 sq. ft. showroom. The "clean-up" kids are now our Office Manager and Purchasing Agent! For the past 15 years the family continues to work side-by-side.

Instead of the little table saw that started it all, Gutowski now utilizes computerized saws to customize radius work that our craftsmen once cut by hand just a few years prior. Our finishers, including Shon who joined the family team 14 years ago, are phenomenal. We employ our own installation crews to work on each project until completion. We have over 150 years of combined talent and knowledge under our roof. Gutowski maintains the reputation for quality, integrity, and dependability by being self-contained and local to many of our clients.
